Katie Harris is a Berthoud-based freelance journalist who has been covering Colorado life for the past 18 years. A proud CSU alum, she’s a regular contributor to several local publications, including NOCO Style, Fifty and Better, Rocky Mountain Parent and Berthoud Weekly Surveyor, with a particular focus on community voices, outdoor living and family life. Katie has called Northern Colorado home for 30 years. When she’s not writing, she’s exploring with her four children, horseback riding, hiking with her “twin” blue merle Australian Shepherds, tending her chickens, gardening or road-tripping with her family.
