Hair Experience

Tell us about yourself, your history and how you came to be where you are now.
I have always known I wanted to be a hairstylist. I started doing hair at 18 and my passion for the industry has only grown since then. I am blessed to have amazing business partners that I get to work alongside every day.

What are you passionate about professionally and personally, and why?
I love everything about the beauty industry. I enjoy every minute with my clients getting to know about their lives while making them feel beautiful. Since becoming a business owner I have become very passionate about helping our team be as successful as possible personally and professionally.

What is your superpower?
I am very fortunate I have always known what I wanted to do when I grew up. I graduated high school as a junior to go straight to beauty school. Starting my career at just 18 years old set me up for success in so many ways and has allowed me to experience so many amazing things.

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment, either professionally or personally?
My biggest accomplishment thus far in my life has been the relationships and community around me in my business and in my personal life. I have an incredible community around me from my church, my family and friends. In the end, I cannot do what I love to do professionally without the community around me.

Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
My parents. They have always encouraged my dreams of being in the beauty industry even when the “norm” was to go to college. I am forever grateful for the constant unconditional love they show.

Where do you see yourself in five years? In 10 years?
I see myself in five years at Facette, continuing to grow and thrive with an amazing team around me. I hope my husband and I are growing our family at that time as well. In 10 years, I see Facette growing immensely and that I have a lifestyle of balance with my family and work and lots of travel along the way.

What piece(s) of advice would you give to your
18-year-old self?

I would say that you are capable of way more than you know. Time is so precious and sweet, don’t wish it away. Enjoy each season (good and bad) as they come.

What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?
I love working out and being active. My husband and I love to travel all over together and spend time with family and friends. I love Northern Colorado and all that it has to offer!

What would you like to give back to your community?
I would love to continue to support other small businesses and partnering together. The pandemic has taught me how precious it is to have an amazing community around you, and I am proud that at Facette we strive to give back in a variety of different ways.
