Tell us about yourself, your history and how you came to be where you are now.Â
I grew up on the east coast, went to school in the middle, and moved to the mountains. I learned public relations, worked in marketing, helped out with some digital stuff, ate some tacos and now I am back to public relations. Along the way I got married, got a cat, then a dog, then a house, and now a baby is on the way.Â
What are you passionate about professionally and personally, and why?Â
Communication and what it can look like. How people understand a message and act on a message is endlessly fascinating to me.  Â
What is your superpower?Â
Communicating the right message, at the right time, to the right audience, with the right medium.  Â
What do you consider your biggest accomplishment, either professionally or personally?Â
Raising over $900,000 for direct COVID relief for 11 communities and wildfire relief for both Colorado and Wyoming Red Cross throughout 2020.  Â
Who has been the biggest influence in your life?Â
My wife, bar none. Her intelligence combined with her kindness leaves me in awe almost every day.  Â
Where do you see yourself in five years? In 10 years?Â
I see myself in the financial world, most likely still in the credit union space. I deeply resonate with the message that credit unions are built of people helping people.  Â
What piece(s) of advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?
1. Slow Down 2. Calm Down 3. Wear SunscreenÂ
What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?
Read, run, contemplate when the next ‘once in a generation’ catastrophe is going to strike, play with
my dog.Â
What would you like to give back to your community?
A sense of hope and a spirit of service. Changing the world is hard, but changing your world is not. Â
