Tell us about yourself, your history and how you came to be where you are now.
It all started in 2012, when Cesar and I had just gotten married. I was 19 and he was 22. An opportunity came for us to purchase a taco cart and we did. Getting to where we are now was not easy, but with hard work and dedication, everything is possible.   

What are you passionate about professionally and personally, and why? 
I truly enjoy making people feel at home and welcomed. Growing up in my mother’s business, I learned consistency, time and dedication will get you where you want to be. But in order to continue that journey, you must LOVE what you do and believe in it too.  

What is your superpower? 
I don’t know if I have one, but I like to imagine I do. 

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment, either professionally or personally? 
My biggest accomplishment is The Taco Stop. Being so young with such a big responsibility is CRAZY. 

Who has been the biggest influence in your life? 
My biggest influence is my mother. As a single mom, I saw how hard she worked. At a very young age she would have me at her business sweeping, cleaning restrooms and working the cash register. 

Where do you see yourself in five years? In 10 years? 
In five years, I definitely see myself as a mother. I have been waiting for the right time, and I finally feel like I’m in a good spot. With my professional side, my goal is to keep growing our business and to keep learning.  

What piece(s) of advice would you give to your
18-year-old self? 
Don’t give up. Everything happens for a reason. It’s never too late to learn new things. And always remember where you came from. #sisepuede 

What do you enjoy doing in your downtime? 
My downtime is the best because I spend time with my dogs. But when I have like real downtime for more than five hours, I truly enjoy baking.   

What would you like to give back to your community?
I would love to find a way to help young Latino entrepreneurs start their journey. When we first started, we struggled a lot with finding resources. I know there is help out there, and I’d really like to be a part of it.
