Studio Be Salon to Donate Wig, Cash and Essentials to NOCO Resident Battling Breast Cancer

This October, Studio Be Salon is turning awareness into meaningful support

Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family and a story. This October, Studio Be is calling the community to show up, give back and remind someone facing breast cancer that they’re not alone.

In a personal video on Instagram, Sarah Brinkhuis, president of Studio Be Salon, shared her own breast cancer journey and why this cause is so close to her heart. To help make a difference in the community, the Studio Be team is partnering with The Wig Fairy to give one person facing breast cancer the gift of a personalized human-hair wig, thoughtfully customized to help them feel confident, comfortable and more like themselves during a difficult time.

Know someone who could benefit? Throughout the month of October, Studio Be is inviting you to nominate yourself or someone you love—a friend, family member, partner, coworker or anyone who is currently facing breast cancer and could use a little extra support.

Every nomination will be sent directly to Brinkhuis and personally reviewed by her. Because she understands how deeply personal a breast cancer journey can be, the entire nomination and selection process is private and confidential. The person selected will never be publicly identified and will not be asked to participate in any marketing, social media or follow-up video.

Alongside the wig donation, Studio Be is collecting funds throughout October to provide additional support to the person selected, including cash assistance, grocery gift cards, transportation, everyday essentials and other needs that may become overwhelming during this journey. Email all submissions privately to [email protected].

Want to help Studio Be give back? If this is a cause you’d like to support, you can make a direct donation here. All of the funds donated through this link will go directly toward supporting the recipient selected through this initiative.

Studio Be also recognizes that breast cancer impacts people of all genders. Nominations are open to anyone currently facing breast cancer who could benefit from a little extra support. This October, Brinkhuis and her team are showing up, giving back and reminding someone that they are not alone.
