Held at Mariana Butte Golf Course, the annual Scheer Fund Golf Tournament honors the legacy of Dr. Stan Scheer and continues his spirit of generosity through the Thompson Education Foundation’s Scheer Student Opportunity Fund. The fund provides gap funding for Thompson School District students to pursue individual academic, leadership, recognition and extracurricular opportunities that would otherwise be inaccessible due to financial need. This year the tournament raised more than $50,000 for local students.
