A group of 15 artists took “new year, new you” to another level at LINC Library Innovation Center as Colorado artist Rachael Lanning led them on a sold-out guided painting session to discover their true goals for 2026. To symbolize the end of the “year of the snake,” a symbol in the Chinese zodiac representing transformation and new beginnings, attendees used alcohol inks, acrylic paint, real snake sheds and traditional collage materials to create their own personal vision boards. While enjoying good company and light refreshments, Lanning invited attendees to let the artist that lives inside everybody come out and play. Beyond your average vision boarding session, Soul Painting for the New Year helped attendees dig into what they wanted to shed in 2025 and set their intentions for 2026.
