Poudre High School Hosts 17th Annual Food Drive

By: Staff

Poudre High School is excited to launch their 17th annual Feed Our Families food drive

Since 2008, the Feed Our Families food drive has combated food insecurity within the school community. Historically, 40-50 percent of Poudre High School’s student population has free/reduced lunch status, and about 10 percent of their students are either considered “unaccompanied youth” or students who may not have fixed or permanent housing. That’s one in 10 students at Poudre High School experiencing homelessness or insecurity related to shelter or food.

As the holiday season approaches, Poudre staff, students and community members are working together to collect as much food as possible to bridge the gap during the two-week winter break. They are also collecting gift donations for their Angel Tree project and have added fire blankets to this year’s list of desired items.

The goal this year is to raise $12,000 in order to provide food for more than 200 families. Distribution day will be Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, and donations will be accepted until then.

If you would like to get involved, visit the website for donation links as well as lists of desired food items and gifts. You might also see students standing outside your local grocery store on the weekends, who will return in-person donations to the school. Poudre High School thanks you for your support in making sure the students have access to quality food this holiday season.
