Mujeres de Colores presented the exhibit, From Sugar to Diamonds, at the Center for Creativity to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month. The exhibit was years in the making and honored the Hispanic and Mexican men of Fort Collins who came out of the sugar beet fields to play baseball. More than 100 guests attended the opening reception to honor the resilience, courage and passion these players demonstrated in the face of racial inequality for the love of the game.
