On Thursday, August 21 the League of Women Voters of Larimer County will host a Women’s Equality Day Celebration. The event will be from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Sweet Heart Winery, 5500 W. US-34 in Loveland.
This event commemorates the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote and highlights the ongoing work for gender equity and civic participation. The League of Women Voters will be honoring two women whose leadership and community service have made a lasting impact in our communities.
The 2025 honorees are:
- Kristin Stephens, Larimer County Commissioner, for her work in promoting voting rights and participation in organizations that enhance women’s status and opportunities.
- Anne Thompson, League member, for her years of work spreading the word on voting information and public policy issues by managing VOTE411.
