More than 50 local creatives gathered at The Neighbor for the first Women in Design, a panel and soirée celebrating the power of women in the design industry. Hosted by Katie Miner of Katie Miner Style, the event was co-produced by Madisen Golden and sponsored by Better Half to Whole. The panel included Laura Arledge, owner and lead interior architect at State Studio; Alex Ruiz Garland, co-owner of The Neighbor; fashion designer Anabella Poletti; and Heather Linden, permaculturist and designer at Gaia Inspired Design & Consulting. Each panelist shared candid stories with the crowd, from landing major clients to pausing a brand, completely upending careers and aligning creative work with personal values and client needs.
