The Town of Timnath celebrated the grand opening of WildWing Community Park, welcoming residents to explore the area’s newest outdoor destination. Spanning 22.1 acres, the park is packed with amenities designed for all ages and interests, including four pickleball courts, three soccer fields, a basketball court, a grass volleyball court, an ADA playground and a community garden with 12 plots. More than 1,500 people attended the grand opening, which featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, remarks from Mayor Robert Axmacher, a pickleball round robin, face painting, a lineup of food trucks, giveaways from the Town of Timnath and more. With a $6.2 million investment in inclusive design, WildWing Community Park has already become a cherished gathering space.
