May is Historic Preservation Month! The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission invites everyone to celebrate historic preservation in Greeley. Here’s what’s in store:

Award Ceremony and Trivia Night

At 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, head to Syntax Distillery, located at 700 6th Street. Help the city recognize the winners of the Historic Preservation Month Awards. Test your knowledge of Greeley history in a game of trivia while enjoying light refreshments. Syntax beverages are available for purchase.

History Presentation

At 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, stop by the Greeley History Museum, 714 8th Street. Dr. Maria Delgado will talk about Colorado State University’s Architectural Virtual Library, an online historic building documentation project.

Share Your Stories

In May, the city will gather stories about the Warnoco property, formerly Warnoco Park, which now houses the Boys and Girls Clubs of Weld County Teen Center. Have a story or memory to share? Visit Greeley’s public engagement webpage at speakupgreeley.com.

These events are free and open to the public. No reservations are needed.
