Join the Rialto Theater for a Summer Full of Cinema with Free Family Movies and Flashback Friday Series
Loveland moviegoers have a lot to be excited about this summer season, as the Rialto Theater Center is prepped to present 14 movies as part of its 2023 Summer Cinema Season. The two-month-long series kicks off on Tuesday, June 6th with family film The Lion King and continues throughout June and July with a wide variety of films representing various genres and decades. All screenings take place in the beautifully restored 1920s theater and are shown using the theater’s digital cinema projection system.
The 2023 Summer Cinema Series includes themed movies shown on two different days of the week. Tuesdays are packed with free, twice-daily screenings of popular family movies, and Fridays are reserved for the Flashback Fridays and Cult Classics series.
While some moviegoers may relish the opportunity to celebrate the past with silent film Safety Last! in a historic cinema setting, others will enjoy cult classics such as Monty Python & The Holy Grail and Pulp Fiction on the big screen. Also included in the 2023 line-up are award-winning children’s movies from various decades, such as Free Willy and The Goonies. There will also be a special celebratory screening of Summer of Soul on Monday, June 19th in honor of the Juneteenth holiday.
Flashback Friday tickets and the Juneteenth celebration movie are $5 (includes ticketing fee). All six movies in the family summer movie lineup are free of charge, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Kid’s ages 2-16 can sign-up for the movie club for the chance to win prizes!
