SAVA Soiree

On Friday, September 27th over 850 guests and supporters gathered for the 8th annual SAVA Soiree at the Embassy Suites in Loveland. Attendees were invited to look over silent and live auction items before the event’s program began. Guests then watched a live painting done by the talented Amanda May Lindberg, while The Mountain Town Trio played live music for dancing and created the most magical atmosphere. Executive Director Dorothy Farrel of the Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center shared many jarring statistics and the number of clients SAVA served in 2019. Survivor speaker Rob Shelden shared his story of being a childhood survivor and encouraged members of the Northern Colorado Community to no longer “stay silent,” that this is an epidemic and we need to talk about sexual violence and help those who need it. Local law enforcement, District Attorney’s and City Council Members from Greeley, Fort Collins and Loveland were all in attendance to support the mission of SAVA. The event raised over $190,000 to go towards supporting victims and SAVA’s prevention education programming.
