Good times for UNC golfers. Both the men’s and women’s teams scored Big Sky Conference Golfer of the Week honors — Beah Cruz on the women’s side, and Joshua Matz for the men. Cruz earned her award on the strength of a 68 — a new school record for a tournament round — at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic.  Matz won the award for the second week in a row and the third time this season after posting three consecutive subpar rounds at Whirlwind Golf Club during the Wyoming Cowboy Classic.

Cable-news studio meets college classroom at CSU’s first-in-the-nation, Mosaic-powered “Room of the Future,” which uses high-end video cameras and a bank of 27 high-def screens to connect on-campus and online students in real time.

Fort Collins placed fourth on Marketwatch’s list of the best U.S. cities for raising a family. Perhaps not surprisingly, all 10 of the cities listed are college towns.

Kudos to UNC for its energy-saving efforts. The school kept about 1800 metric tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere last year, while saving taxpayers $1.5 million in energy costs.
