Local Submissions for the “ReFrame Disability” Film Festival

Calling all creative Coloradan filmmakers! The Arc of Larimer County in Fort Collins is accepting film submissions until January 31 for its 7th Annual ReFrame Disability Film Festival on March 8. At the festival the nonprofit will screen the winning film and award the winning filmmaker with a $500 cash prize.

The yearly Film Festival aligns with National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month to help eliminate stereotypes about individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). All amateur and professional filmmakers living in Colorado are encouraged to submit their influential creations.

The Arc of Larimer County works to ensure that all individuals have equal access and are included in every aspect of community life. The festival showcases short films from around the country that either spotlight I/DD issues or are made by or feature individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Some films are humorous, some are serious, but they all accomplish one common goal – spreading awareness.
