Love for our pets shines brightest during the holidays
Ross Maak
Ross Maak is a 30-year newspaper veteran who moved from Iowa to Colorado with his family in 1985. While he's a huge Iowa State fan, he figures he's lived here long enough to call himself a native. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in journalism and has lived and worked for newspapers in Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada and California. Regardless, he's always considered Northern Colorado home. He currently lives with his wife and pooch (not necessarily in that order) in Weld County. If you need to find him, he'll most likely be at a sporting event, concert or trivia night.
