The Loveland Rural Fire Protection District (LRFPD) will host two community conversations on Aug. 21 and 22, providing residents an opportunity to learn more about the district, its responsibilities, its financial partnership with the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority (LFRA) and its plans for the future.
The meetings are intended to provide clear information about the role of LRFPD as an independent Title 32 local government and to answer questions raised by residents regarding district governance, finances and representation.
Topics will include the district’s authority and responsibilities, LRFPD representation on the LFRA board, the history and structure of the LRFPD-LFRA partnership, district funding of LFRA, mill levy and fund balance history, calls for service, long-term financial planning district elections and opportunities to improve communication with rural residents.
Questions previously submitted by members of the community have been incorporated into the presentation, and attendees will have an opportunity for additional questions and discussion.
