Design our Best of NOCO issue cover!

For the second year, NOCO Style is showcasing the artwork of local creatives by giving you a chance to design our Best of NOCO Annual Resource Guide cover. The issue will be released Dec. 1, featuring the results of our 2024 contest. Use your unique style to create a cover that showcases the things you love most about Northern Colorado and the people and businesses that make it such an amazing place to live.

ALL mediums welcome

Get your paintbrushes, cameras, pastels, calligraphy pens and styluses ready! We encourage artists of every medium and style to participate.

The contest closes Oct. 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.

What is Best of NOCO?

Readers’ Choice Best of NOCO is an annual contest that encourages the community to vote for their favorite local businesses in more than 200 categories.

What’s in it for you?

1. The winner will receive $250 cash, plus:
2. Two tickets to the Readers’ Choice Best of NOCO party on Dec. 6, 2024, at 6 p.m.
3. Exposure of your work to our 112,000 print readers as well as our 70,000 email subscribers
4. Bragging rights

Rules:

1. Art must be submitted by Oct. 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. to be considered
2. Cover art must include the verbiage “Best of NOCO,” the Readers’ Choice Best of NOCO logo, the verbiage “Annual Resource Guide” and the NOCO Style logo  (provided in materials below).
3. Please use the dimensions provided to ensure the correct size:
   • Bleed size: (the .25″ bleed will be trimmed off by the printer): 8.875″w x 11.375″h
   • Trim size: 8.375″w x 10.875″h
4. Must be able to submit a high-quality photo and/or scan of your artwork if created non-digitally
   • ie. High resolution, 300 dpi.
5. Limit 1 entry per person
6. No AI-generated artwork allowed

Best of NOCO Cover Contest Terms and Conditions

By submitting your artwork to the Best of NOCO Cover Contest, you agree to the following terms:

1. Usage Rights: By submitting your design, you grant NOCO Style the exclusive right to use, print, and distribute your design on the cover of NOCO Style’s 2024 Best of NOCO Annual Resource Guide. *
2. Royalty-Free License: You acknowledge that NOCO Style has the right to reproduce and distribute your design without any royalty or further compensation other than the $250 winnings.
3. Credit: NOCO Style will credit the artist where possible.
4. Original Work: You confirm that your submission is an original work created by you and does not infringe on the rights of any third party.
5. Modifications: NOCO Style reserves the right to make minor modifications to the design to fit production needs.
6. Publicity: By submitting, you agree to allow NOCO Style to use your name and design in promotional materials related to the contest and the resulting merchandise.

Exclusive Copyright Details

* The winning artist agrees to give all rights to their design to NOCO Style in exchange for the prize. This means the artist cannot use, sell or give the design to any other party. The artist’s credit will remain with the selected design indefinitely.
