Community artists are invited to apply July 31-Aug. 28 for chance to transform blank ceramic masks into original works of art

The Museum of Art Fort Collins (MoA) is now accepting entries for the 2027 Masks Call for Artists, inviting community members and artists of all experience levels to take part in the museum’s signature fundraising and community art event. The Call for Entry window is open July 31-Aug. 28, with participating artists selected randomly from all entries received during that period.

The 23rd Annual Masks Fundraiser & Exhibition will run April 2-June 4, 2027, at the Museum of Art Fort Collins.

About Masks

Masks is MoA’s most beloved fundraising tradition, engaging the community in a unique, approachable and creative art experience. Selected artists receive a blank ceramic mask form to transform using any medium or technique they choose. The finished works are then exhibited at the museum and offered for sale through an online auction, with proceeds supporting MoA’s exhibitions and educational programming.

In the past 22 years, the program has brought together thousands of artists and community members, resulting in more than 4,000 masks created and more than $2.2 million raised in support of the museum’s mission. In 2026 alone, 267 artists created 246 masks for the exhibition.

How to apply

Artists interested in participating can submit an entry through the online form at moafc.org/masks between July 31 and Aug. 28. Applicants will be notified in early September and selected artists will receive their blank mask form to begin creating.

Those interested in sponsoring a mask are also encouraged to contact the museum for more information.
