Soda Shop Movement Company is delighted to announce the return of audience favorite, “A Touch of Whimsy: Memoirs of a Coffee Table,” an evening-length contemporary ballet choreographed by Conner Horak-Flood. Following its warmly received premiere, the production returns for two performances at the Lincoln Center Magnolia Theater on Aug. 22 and 23.
Inspired by the cafes and coffee houses of Fort Collins, “A Touch of Whimsy: Memoirs of a Coffee Table” follows six unique characters whose lives intertwine over the course of one unforgettable evening. Through bold, athletic movement and an eclectic musical score spanning from Bach to The Eagles, the ballet transforms an ordinary coffee shop into a place where extraordinary stories unfold.
Heartfelt, whimsical and full of surprises, the production celebrates the unexpected moments and meaningful connections that can be found in everyday life. Blending contemporary dance with expressive storytelling, “A Touch of Whimsy” invites audiences of all ages to experience a moving and imaginative theatrical journey.
