The City of Fort Collins’ Parks & Recreation Department will host Kids in the Park, a free, family-friendly community event from 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Twin Silo Community Park, located at 5552 Ziegler Road. Co-presented with Elevations Credit Union, the event features hands-on recreation activities, lawn games, food trucks, live music by Funky Business, bounce houses, a Touch-A-Truck experience, giant bubbles and more.
“Kids in the Park has grown into a true community celebration and is a great way to top off Parks and Recreation Month,” says LeAnn Williams, Parks & Recreation director. “Whether your family loves sports, arts or just running around with friends, there’s something here for everyone.”
New this year, FoCo POP (Parks and Outdoor Performances) will bring local hip-hop dance group Foco Flava to perform at Kids in the Park as part of their summer event series. FoCo POP brings music, cultural experiences and live entertainment to parks and streets across Fort Collins. Designed for all ages, this free series welcomes residents to gather, connect and experience the arts.
Twin Silo Community Park is a 54-acre park home to community gardens, a BMX course, pickleball courts, a dog park, ball diamonds, multi-purpose turf fields and a large playground for event attendees to explore. Free parking for event attendees is available at Fossil Ridge High School, and ADA parking will be accessible at the main entrance to the park off Ziegler Road.
