Help Save a Life: Columbine Health Systems Sponsors Spring Blood Drive

By: Staff

Columbine Health Systems has partnered with Garth Englund Blood Center to host blood drives in three cities in March. Drives will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 6 at Drake Centre, 802 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins; March 9 at The Windsor, 1385 Main St., Windsor; and March 13 at Lakeview Commons, 1422 W. 29th St., Loveland.

The need for blood donations is critical. Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Donated blood is used for traumatic injuries, surgeries, cancer treatment and more. Blood for life-threatening situations is critically low and community donations are urgently needed.

Donations made at these blood drives will help supply Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies, Greeley Hospital and Longs Peak Hospital. By donating, participants may help a neighbor in need.

As part of its commitment to community well-being, Columbine Health Systems partnered with Garth Englund Blood Center to make donating blood accessible and convenient.

Sign up today. Walk-ins are welcome. Appointments are strongly recommended. Register in advance at blood-donation.uchealth.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/.

Things to know:

The donation process takes 30 to 45 minutes.
Donors are advised to eat a good meal before their appointment.

Whether you have donated before or are considering it for the first time, participation is important. Every donation has the power to make a difference and help save the lives of neighbors in need.
