First indoor facility in Colorado built from the ground up; Grand Opening November 22
While participation in pickleball has exploded across Colorado and the country in recent years, there’s a fresh twist to the sport that’s unique to Northern Colorado. Pickleball players in Northern Colorado now have access to a first-of-its-kind experience in the state. The Picklr Fort Collins, 1841 Jessup Drive, No. 100, is the first indoor pickleball facility in Colorado that was built new from undeveloped land. The 27,000-square-foot building includes 10 indoor courts plus an array of amenities for players: high-quality outdoor-style surfacing, a pro shop, dedicated space for instructional clinics, a rentable private events space, a workout and stretching area, a players’ lounge, locker rooms with showers and grab-and-go refreshments.
A notable feature of the new facility is its extensive sound baffling. Leslie Arnold, owner-operator of The Picklr’s Fort Collins and Loveland locations, explains that the sound baffling allows people to easily carry on conversations in a normal speaking voice even while all the courts are in use. “My favorite part of launching The Picklr Fort Collins has been seeing a vision come to life—not just a building, but a community,” Arnold said. “This club was designed from the ground up specifically for Northern Colorado—built for our weather, our players and our local vibe.
“The open, flexible design with garage doors gives us that perfect ‘indoor-outdoor’ feel that reflects how we live and play here. But what truly made it special happened the moment we opened our doors on November 6th—the community itself brought the energy, warmth and personality that transformed the space into something far beyond what we built. They made it uniquely Fort Collins.”
The Picklr Fort Collins also fulfills a vision for Gino Campana, developer of the Jessup Farm project in east Fort Collins, where The Picklr is the newest commercial tenant. “Since we began in 2011, our goal has always been to create community and experiences throughout the building of Jessup Farm,” Campana says. “[The Picklr] complex came together in just over a year and is the first in the growing Picklr franchise to be built from the ground up instead of repurposed out of an existing space.
“We love that this isn’t just pickleball courts inside a building, and we love the idea of having activities that promote healthy lifestyles join Jessup Farm,” he adds. “The Picklr Fort Collins fits right into our concept—that gathering and community areas are equally as important as the championship quality courts.
The Picklr is membership-based, with some founding memberships still available, Arnold says. Founding memberships include access to all other locations of The Picklr, free court reservations, unlimited open and competitive play, four clinic passes per month, unlimited club leagues and tournaments. Founding membership fees range from $129 on a monthly basis to $1,349 for the year. “We are the least expensive indoor pickleball club in Northern Colorado, Arnold says. “Memberships start at $79, and we accept most Medicare supplemental insurances.”
The Picklr is geared toward all skill levels, with beginner clinics to high-level competition. Clinics run from around 8 a.m. to noon and 5-9 p.m. on weekdays and on weekend mornings, according to the Fort Collins Picklr’s head pro, Martin Thomas. Arnold also sees The Picklr Fort Collins as part of a growing community initiative to make active living more accessible for residents of all ages and abilities. As Colorado’s newest indoor pickleball facility, it will offer programs that promote physical fitness, social connection and lifelong wellness—aligning closely with the City of Fort Collins’ health, recreation and inclusion goals. That contribution will be recognized by the city with an official proclamation celebrating The Picklr Fort Collins Grand Opening on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
