KRFC 88.9 FM is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of its One-day Membership Drive, which was held on Sept. 26, 2025. In just 24 hours, the community-powered radio station raised more than $106,000, with additional support from local businesses still being counted.
This milestone fundraiser was launched to help offset federal funding losses and ensure KRFC continues to uplift Colorado artists and enrich Northern Colorado through creative programming, partnerships and outreach. The station credits the incredible generosity of its listeners, the dedication of its volunteers and the tireless efforts of its team for making the day historic.
“Friday was a powerful reminder of what community can do when it comes together,” says Justin Clapp, executive director of KRFC. “We’re deeply grateful to every donor, volunteer and DJ who helped spread the word and create the momentum that carried us through the day. These funds will make a real impact as we close out 2025 and prepare for a strong 2026.”
“This drive wasn’t just about raising money—it was about reaffirming KRFC’s place in the heart of Northern Colorado,” says James Yearling, KRFC’s board president. “The support we saw on Friday proves that our mission resonates deeply, and we’re excited to build on this momentum.”
KRFC will continue its fundraising efforts with its annual Elizabeth Hotel Music Experience on Colorado Gives Day, Tuesday, Dec. 9. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.
