SARAH DICK
Q: What’s your occupation? Explain your career, your accomplishments and professional highlights.
A: I am a business development manager in the mortgage industry. With seven years of experience, I work at CrossCountry Mortgage and support 17 loan officers while being part of a top mortgage team in the nation. We assisted more than 250 families last year by helping them turn houses into homes. I actively participate in various associations and am proud to be the newest ambassador at the Windsor Chamber. Northern Colorado holds a special place in my heart, and I am honored to contribute to its growth and prosperity.
Q: Tell us about yourself, your history and how you came to be where you are now.
A: I grew up in a small town in Utah and later attended college in Denver. I worked in the oil and gas industry, covering a territory from Denver to Casper, Wyoming. It was there that I met the love of my life, who brought me to Northern Colorado. Raising his five wonderful children has brought me immense joy for the past eight years. Settling in Northern Colorado made me realize this is where I wanted to establish my roots. Transitioning into the mortgage industry has been a great choice and has provided incredible opportunities. I’m grateful for my team.
Age: 29
Occupation: Business Development Manager at CrossCountry Mortgage, co-founder of NOCO Women in Business
Q: Tell us something unique about you.
A: One unique thing about me is my fierce commitment to wearing pink on Wednesdays. It’s a fun and vibrant tradition that adds a pop of color to my week. On the golf course, my longest drive has reached an impressive 235 yards. Another aspect that sets me apart is my aversion to wearing tennis shoes. You won’t catch me in them; I prefer to step out in stylish alternatives.
Q: What do you consider your biggest accomplishment, either professionally or personally?
A: My biggest accomplishment is following my instincts and pursuing a career in an industry unrelated to my education. Growing within my community allowed me to establish NOCO Women in Business, a women’s group that inspires and empowers authentic connections in a safe space. Our group has grown from 12 initial members to over 175 women in just 12 months. It’s incredibly fulfilling to witness the positive impact we’ve created together.
Q: Where do you see yourself in five years? In 10 years?
A: Over the next decade, my focus will be securing my family’s financial stability and comfortable lifestyle. I’ll continue my dedication to empowering and supporting women by creating an inclusive support group for success that reaches beyond my current connections. As a leading connector in Northern Colorado, I will keep fostering business growth. Ultimately, I see myself as the mayor of Windsor, actively shaping and serving the community I deeply care about.
Q: What piece(s) of advice would you give to your younger self?
A: Believe in yourself and ignore doubts from others and within. Work hard, be your best and embrace life’s experiences. Cherish moments that shape your journey. Trust in your abilities and fearlessly pursue your dreams with passion. Never give up on what you want. You have the power to achieve anything you set your mind to.
Q: How did you grow NOCO Women in Business to what it is today?
A: Personal connection and relationships are at the core of NOCO Women in Business, and that is how it grew to what it is today. There is a need in Northern Colorado for women in business to connect and learn from one another. It is a safe place where they can express their struggles of entrepreneurship and also refuel their tank.
Q: What do you hope women get out of their experience with NOCO Women in Business? What have you gotten out of it?
A: I hope all women feel welcome when they come to one of our events or workshops. No matter what stage of life we are in, we all support each other no matter what. We welcome new women in business in hopes of helping them find their newest business bestie or helping them feel empowered by other women. I have developed deep, long-lasting friendships and a greater desire to help women in this community grow their businesses. I love our community and welcome all women who are looking for a safe place to make connections.
