Q: What’s your occupation? Explain your career, your accomplishments and professional highlights.

A: I am the marketing director for Caring Pathways, an in-home, end-of-life pet care practice servicing Northern Colorado. I have been with the company for over six years. In 2022, we helped over 10,000 families navigate their pet’s end-of-life journey with honor, dignity and respect in the comfort of their own home. I am also a certified personal trainer.

Q: Tell us about yourself, your history and how you came to be where you are now.

A: I am a Colorado native and graduated from CSU in 2016 before starting my career at Caring Pathways. I love the challenge that comes with marketing for a company with such a sensitive but helpful service for pets and their families. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the unwavering support of my wife, family and the grace and friendship of my savior, Jesus. I am passionate about walking alongside people with encouragement, support and a servant heart.

Q: Tell us something unique about you.

A: I am a guide and volunteer for an organization called Outfitters 4 Hope, a nonprofit organization with a primary mission to serve children with life-threatening illness as well as the children of fallen heroes. We provide trips for youth under the age of 18 to bring hope and healing in the midst of various physical and emotional traumas. The past two years, the organization has hosted two successful hunting trips for children in Colorado.

Age: 29

Occupation: Marketing director at Caring Pathways

Q: What do you consider your biggest accomplishment, either professionally or personally?

A: My greatest accomplishment is embracing the roles of being a loving husband to my amazing wife, Kirsten, and a dedicated dad to our sweet baby girl. Following the teachings of Jesus, I strive to cultivate a nurturing and supportive home, fostering an environment of love, respect and faith. The love we share fills my heart with immeasurable joy and purpose.

Q: Where do you see yourself in five years? In 10 years?

A: In five to 10 years, my focus will remain supporting and providing for my family and being a present husband and dad while sustainably learning and growing professionally. I hope to continue to grow my influence by inspiring individuals to realize their dreams and achieve their fitness and health goals through personal training. Lastly, I hope to continue to impact children’s lives through volunteering and guiding for Outfitters 4 Hope.

Q: What piece(s) of advice would you give to your younger self?

A: Don’t live to be comfortable. Wake up early. Put others’ needs first. Trust in God. Choose to forgive. Love your neighbor. Eat more watermelon.

Q: Why are you so passionate about pets and our relationships with them?

A: I grew up with dogs being a part of my family. One of our dogs, a yellow lab, Belle, was a hunting dog and an incredible companion to me. We traveled into the mountains of Colorado to pick her up as a puppy when I was 7, and she grew up with me until she passed in 2016. Since joining Caring Pathways in 2017, I have grown a deeper appreciation for the influence of pets in our lives through hearing the incredible stories from families as they share what their beloved pets meant to them.

Q: What drove you to volunteer for Outfitters 4 Hope, and how does the organization inspire you?

A: In 2018 I remember watching a video of a hunt put on by a similar organization for a child named Austin who had a brain tumor, and his dream was to go on an elk hunt. At the end of his video, he prayed for more kids like him with life-threatening illnesses to have the same great experience he did on his hunt. I was moved to tears hearing his story and seeing his dream come true. I knew I wanted to get involved with Outfitters 4 Hope after being inspired by Austin to serve kids like him. Since joining the organization in 2021, I have been greatly inspired by the three amazing kids we have taken on trips in Colorado. Their courage, strength and bravery to continue on with their present conditions is amazing, and I am honored to know them.
