GRAHAM GOOD

Q: What’s your occupation? Explain your career, your accomplishments and professional highlights.

A: I am a full-time musician. I play shows for excited crowds, lovely weddings and other fun events. I spend a good amount of my time bringing my musical healing to groups of adults with special needs and the elderly in nursing homes. I also visit schools every now and then to provide kids with hope for a career in the arts.

Q: Tell us about yourself, your history and how you came to be where you are now.

A: I am a dreamer and a lighthouse for hope. I have always been a peacekeeper and truth seeker, and I show a lot of who I am on stage and through the music I write. I have a degree in marketing from CSU, where I formed my band and decided to dedicate my life to sharing the abundance of joy and gratitude I have for life. I believe that in a world growing increasingly heavy and dark, sharing messages about the power of positivity is of the utmost importance.

Q: Tell us something unique about you.

A: I am the youngest child of two from a single mother. My mom chose to have my brother and I via artificial insemination. I have never met my birth father, but I am grateful for his donation in creating me.

Age: 29

Occupation: Guitarist and lead singer of Graham Good & The Painters

Q: What do you consider your biggest accomplishment, either professionally or personally?

A: Playing two sold-out nights at Red Rocks during the COVID-19 era was a huge dream come true. In 2017, I made a video when I was moving out of my apartment stating that I planned to play Red Rocks by 2020, and I manifested it with hard work and determination.

Q: Where do you see yourself in five years? In 10 years?

A: I see myself continuing to share my music with the hearts of people who need a lift. I would love to step into venues around the world with 1,000+ capacities and share nights of honest connection and love. I see myself building my community of fans and friends who challenge themselves and the world to rise to their highest potential on a daily basis.

Q: What piece(s) of advice would you give to your younger self?

A: I would tell my younger self to dream even bigger. I would tell young Graham to be fearlessly himself and encourage him to love the world and all our people louder. I would also probably tell him to learn music earlier because it has allowed me to find myself and give hope to those around me through it.

Q: Why did you choose music as your medium for spreading positivity?

A: It’s a universal language that emits an energy that anyone can understand and feel understood by. It helps people feel inexplicably connected to others, themselves and the world.

Q: What helps you stay positive during hard times, both in your own life and in society as a whole?

A: Good music really helps me stay positive, which is another reason why I choose to make it. I also find a lot of relief in deep breathing. The thought that you’re never going to see magic if you don’t believe in it also keeps me in a positive headspace.
