Local Auto Restoration Shop to put on Car Show Benefiting Weld Food Bank
Sterling Rod and Custom, the one-stop-shop for classic auto restoration in Sterling, CO, will host the Rockin’ Rods and Custom Rides car show from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2022, in the Nature’s Herbs and Wellness parking lot in Milliken, CO. Taking place at 3220 Center Dr., Milliken, CO 80543 this one-of-a-kind car show will include a raffle, Best In Show Contest, and a Pinup Contest with trophies and cash prizes for the top 3 in both contests. All proceeds from the event and raffle will benefit Weld Food Bank. Vendors, sponsors, and attendees are encouraged to also donate canned goods for the event. Registration is free as well as attendance.
The car show itself will offer 3 trophies and 3 cash prizes totaling $1,750, and registration is free. Showed cars must arrive at 9 a.m. for setup, and the show ends at 3 pm. For the Pinup contest, 1st place gets a trophy, and the top 3 receive cash prizes totaling $850.
Weld Food Bank, the main beneficiary of the event, is excited to be a part of this opportunity and will be collecting canned goods from everyone. “The support from this event will provide more than just money and cans of food, it will be putting meals on the tables of our hungry neighbors.”

Sterling Rod and Custom shop owner and manager, Eric Leskinen, is happy to be able to put on this car show and benefit a local organization. “There’s nothing better than putting classic cars in front of hundreds of eyes while also benefiting a local organization like the Weld Food Bank. To know that I can share my love for automobiles while supporting the local community in such an impactful way is awesome. Really looking forward to this event,” says Leskinen.
General Manager of Nature’s Herbs and Wellness, Tucker Eldridge, adores the Milliken community and has been involved from the beginning. “We are excited to sponsor this amazing event being put on by Sterling Rod and Custom. We are looking forward to being able to provide Weld County Food Bank with as large of a donation as we can in this important time of year.” Since most of Weld Food Bank’s donations come during the holidays, this is a great opportunity for their organization.
