February’s NOCO Fave comes from reader Mary Anne Hunt, who offers up The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride by Fort Collins author Joe Siple, a story of a 100-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy who become unlikely friends as they both deal with their own mortality.
She says, “For several months I hadn’t been able to dive into a book until I started The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride. The story grabbed me on page one, and I nished it in three days. It is a sweet, heartfelt story of people who ordinarily would not come together, learning to accept and love one another, and becoming more kind in the process. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and love the fact that the author is local. Be prepared to shed a tear or two!” Hunt adds that the book also has some great laugh-out-loud moments.
The book is available at ebook sellers and in paperback and hardcover formats.
