CASA of Larimer County “Light of Hope” Community Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. For some children, this was the most important breakfast of the year. Every 47 minutes a child experiences abuse and/or neglect in Colorado, and many of these children will be removed from their homes and families. Throughout it all, Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers offer stability and hope by advocating for a child’s right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect and to be able to learn and grow. “Light of Hope” is CASA of Larimer County’s largest annual fundraiser, and this year’s event drew 304 attendees and raised more than $95,000. The keynote speaker, Patrick Dillon, is a former CASA youth who shared his story of abuse, advocacy, and hope. For more information, visit www.casalarimer.com.
