The Youth Clinic Opens 2019 High School Scholarship Program

The Youth Clinic is now accepting applications for its Second Annual Growing Healthy Kids High School Scholarship. One Colorado high school senior pursuing further education (not limited to college-bound students) will be awarded $1,000. Applications are due March 31, 2019, the awarded student will be announced on May 1, 2019. Students must be patients of The Youth Clinic to apply.

“At The Youth Clinic, our goal is to help keep Northern Colorado families healthy beyond the waiting and examination room. With the Growing Healthy Kids High School Scholarship, we are doing just that,” said Larry Mortensen, Executive Director for The Youth Clinic.

Joseph Flock was named the first Healthy Kids High School Scholarship recipient in 2018. The Loveland High School graduate wrote, “David’s triumph over Goliath with a rock and a slingshot powerfully symbolize how we can conquer our fears…the action of pulling the slingshot back represents David reaching out to others for confidence and help, and also offering hope to get through a tough situation.”
