John Garvey

John Garvey is a Wichita native who has called Northern Colorado home for over a decade. He’s the chairman of DarkSky Colorado, which strives to protect the night sky for the heritage, health and well-being of Colorado’s people and wildlife. A lifelong runner, John has started two Northern Colorado running clubs, both of them ongoing. He loves hiking, live music, books, his crazy blended family and Wolverine Farm Publick House. He has contributed to a dozen or so Colorado-based businesses and lifestyle magazines and written reams of marketing material, plus the occasional humorous or creative nonfiction story. He specializes in cannabis and sustainability and is an artist and entrepreneur engaged in a gauntlet of creative endeavors that have no clear relationship to one another unless you have ADHD.
