Downtown Greeley Announces Third Annual Winterfest

Three weekends filled with holiday magic

Saturday, Nov. 29

Holiday Open House, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Start the day with warmth and cheer as downtown Greeley transforms into a holiday haven. The annual Holiday Open House coincides with Small Business Saturday. Begin by picking up your bingo card at any one of the participating downtown businesses and embark on your downtown holiday experience. Fill out your bingo card for a chance to win a gift basket. No purchase necessary, must be 18 years or older to participate.

Light Up Lincoln, 5:30 p.m.
As the sun sets after your shopping, join friends in downtown Greeley for Light Up Lincoln and watch as the Giant Switch flips. Nearly 120 trees will be lit, causing the park to glow and allowing Santa Claus to see from his sleigh. When fully lit, this equates to nearly half a million lumens throughout the park. Plan to grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants, browse the holiday store window displays and stay for the holiday lighting countdown in Lincoln Park. Reindeer in the park will be provided by Generations Church. Enjoy the carolers, hot chocolate, sweet treats and Santa Claus himself.

Saturday, Dec. 6

Holiday Lane, 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Holiday Lane is a free event that consists of holiday displays around 8th and 9th Street plazas, where the public can walk around and enjoy the holiday spirit. In addition to the displays, there will be performances from local dance companies, marching bands and more. Find the perfect holiday gifts at the Winter Market on the 9th Street plaza. Dress up in holiday themed attire and spend the evening enjoying all the sparkle, fun and carriage rides.

Saturday, Dec. 13

Santa’s Workshop at LINC Library, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Step into a world of wonder and holiday cheer at Santa’s Workshop. Enjoy the sounds of merry carolers as you visit with Old Saint Nick (noon-2 p.m.), then begin your own holiday crafting at one of the festive makers’ workshops (building yule logs, decorating cards and ornaments and more). Don’t forget to stop by the Greeley Creative District’s table to stamp your holiday letters with a custom design before dropping them in the mailbox bound for the North Pole.
