Colorado-Only Plein Air Art Show Unveiled at Wilderness Art Quarry

One hundred and eight pieces of Colorado artwork have been hung among 15 participating artists. Each of the pieces were made on location by artists around Colorado.

Wilderness Art Quarry invited local artists to apply for its first annual Colorado Plein Air Show. The show will run from Aug. 31-Sept. 14, 2025, with an opening day festival on Aug. 31 at Wilderness Art Quarry in Loveland.

There are pieces made in Estes Park, Crested Butte, Red Feather Lakes, Loveland and so much more. The show will stay up in the gallery through Sept. 14. There will be a Peoples’ Choice Award given toward the end of the show, so come in and vote for your favorite.

Awards will be given for:

  • Best of Show
  • Best Loveland Plein Air
  • Peoples’ Choice Award
  • Honorable Mentions (five total)
  • Best Quick Draw
