Glow Getters, a Northern Colorado nonprofit focused on empowering tween girls, hosted its fifth annual event at Just For Kix. The day brought together 33 girls ages 9–14 for activities centered on building confidence, setting goals and exploring leadership. Founder Chianne Coffman spoke on the power of positive self-talk and gave each girl a mirror with handwritten affirmations and a photo of themselves as a kindergartener as a reminder to protect their inner child. The girls also chose a personal “Word of the Year” for their custom t-shirts and created vision boards reflecting their future goals. The event supported the Pack-A-Pack initiative. Forty backpacks were donated to be filled with school supplies in partnership with Walk Our Way.
