Participants are invited to join a virtual walk-a-thon, taking on the challenge of walking 400,000 steps as a team. This event raises awareness for the needs of foster, adoptive, and kinship families while also generating crucial funds for the programs and services provided by Finally Home. Several prizes are available, including weekly rewards for the most steps walked and grand prizes at the end for top fundraisers and more.
All children deserve to live in a healthy home. For the 400,000 children in foster care, they live without the guarantee that they will have a stable, healthy home. Of the 400,000 children:
- 35% will be placed with extended family, this is called kinship care.
- 27% will be adopted.
- 46% will be reunited with their parents or primary caregivers.
- 9% will exit the foster care system.
Here is how to make a pledge-per-activity
Step 1. Click the “Make a Per-Unit-Pledge” button.
Step 2. Select a Participant or Team to credit.
Step 3. Enter how much you would like to donate for every activity the Participant completes or a flat donation for a Team.
Step 4. Continue the checkout process and submit your pledge!
