Greeley Recreation Center Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Recreating memories: 40 years of fun and fitness

The Greeley Recreation Center opened Feb. 25, 1985. Current staff are hosting a birthday party from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, to celebrate. Everyone is welcome.

On the day of the celebration, anyone can get in for free. Bring your suit and jump on inflatable obstacles in the pool. Test your skills on the climbing wall, and challenge your friends to indoor yard games. The party wouldn’t be complete without treats: Enjoy popcorn, cotton candy and cupcakes while you participate in the festivities.

Attendees can talk with instructors about archery, climbing, swimming, art, dance and music classes. You can also watch youth basketball games in the gym or learn about upcoming camps and explore youth sports clinics.

The Greeley Recreation Center is a fantastic spot for the whole community. It has many activities, including two gyms, a weight room, racquetball courts, an indoor pool with a diving well and a climbing wall. Over the years, it has hosted parties, banquets and special events, making it a popular gathering place. With its wide range of amenities, the Greeley Recreation Center provides an excellent space for staying active and having fun.

Come relish in the memories. Visit the Greeley Recreation Center at 651 10th Ave. in downtown Greeley, and join the celebration.
