You’re invited for an evening of song, wine and good times as the Greeley Chorale presents the third annual Cabaret & Cabernet fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 22, at UNC Campus Commons, 1051 22nd St. in Greeley.
“Cabaret & Cabernet pays homage to the nearly 30-year legacy established by our previous fundraiser, Pops & Pasta,” says Susan McKenzie, event chair. “We’ve taken the highlights of the previous format and reimagined it, breathing new life in an already great event. Each year we’ve tweaked details of the event, and this year will be the best ever.”
Doors to the lobby open at 5:30 p.m., offering patrons heavy hors d’oeuvres and alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages at a pre-show reception. In addition, the Greeley Chorale’s immensely popular silent auction will be open, along with a photo booth, wine pull and whiskey drawing.
At 7 p.m., patrons will take their seats in the performance hall for the Greeley Chorale’s ever popular cabaret show, where members have the opportunity to highlight their talents as individual artists through solos and ensembles. The group performs a few numbers too.
“Each year, we look at what we can do better, or differently, and I think our patrons will really appreciate and enjoy what we’ve done to make this evening even more enjoyable. The Campus Commons Performance Hall is a gorgeous venue that allows us to highlight our members in a highly professional atmosphere, while still keeping the light, fun and accessible aspect that our audience has come to expect from this event,” says Karen Zack event co-chair.
Tickets are $36 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under, plus any applicable fees, and are available at greeleychorale.org, by calling 970.351.4849 or in person at the UNC Ticket Office in Campus Commons.
