Sunny Sanctuary
This sunroom provides the ideal spot to curl up in a comfy chair with your journal. The tufted bench is a good spot to remove shoes before soaking up some Vitamin D from the Colorado sun. Large sliding glass doors make for easy access to fresh air and the deck beyond.
Private Terrace
Outdoor retreats, like this second-floor terrace, are popular getaway spaces. To ensure privacy, the only access to the terrace is through the primary suite. By day, the seating area is a great place to rejuvenate the mind while taking in the view. By night, enjoy the stars, a cozy fire and your favorite piece of art, like this gorgeous bronze bear sculpture that was handcrafted in Loveland.
Reading Nook
With a built-in window seat and floor-to-ceiling library shelves, this nook is a wonderful place to lose yourself in a good book. There’s no mistaking the purpose of this reader’s retreat: The windows flood the space with natural light, and the retro ceiling fan keeps the reader cool in the summer.
Zen Garden
The Zen principles of balance and contemplation were used to guide this whole-house remodel, including its calming backyard oasis. The upper deck provides custom screens for privacy and a canopy for shade, while the lower deck offers a perfect platform to practice yoga. In the rock garden, you can meditate next to the stone buddha sculpture or rake gravel into smooth patterns as an exercise in mindfulness.
Away Room
An away room is a closed-door retreat set away from the hustle and bustle of a busy household. It encourages rest and relaxation and creates a quiet escape from overstimulation. This away room also serves as a spare bedroom, offering guests a serene space to recharge or curl up in front of the cozy fireplace.
Cedar Sana
What better way to escape and unwind than in a therapeutic sauna? Perfectly mitered corners and satisfying lines of the woodwork create a calm and inviting space to decompress. Glass walls and minty green tile in the adjacent steam shower keep the sauna open and bright.
Bathroom Retreat
Sometimes self-care requires a long soak in a deep tub. In this primary suite, a freestanding bathtub creates a tranquil, spa-like experience that can be enjoyed on a regular basis. The custom ceiling detail, wall paneling and sparkling crystal chandelier combine to elevate the calming aesthetic. Treating yourself to a few luxury items in the bathroom provides a daily reminder that this space is special and so are you.
