The Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW), the City of Greeley and the University of Northern Colorado will co-host Where the River Flows: A Day of Discovery at the Poudre River from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at Signature Bluffs Natural Area. The free event is open to the public and will offer an exciting day of discovery and learning at Signature Bluffs Natural Area along the Poudre River. Guests will have the opportunity to explore this unique ecosystem and learn about plans for local restoration projects in the area, prescribed fire and the City of Greeley’s Poudre River Restoration Initiative.
Other event highlights include:
- Guided river and wetland walks for all ages starting at 9:30 a.m.
- Guided river walks for kids to earn their Poudre River Investigator guide and badge.
- Educational booths, including Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed, City of Greeley Natural Areas and Public Works, Voices of the Land, the University of Northern Colorado COOLER program and more.
- River restoration and prescribed fire information from local natural resource managers, including information about the Poudre River Restoration Initiative in Greeley.
Driving directions: Access the trailhead parking lot on the west side of 71st Avenue, between F and O streets.
Parking: There are 25 parking spaces, plus two ADA parking spaces. If the parking lot is full when you arrive, do not park on the road.
Biking directions: Access Signature Bluffs from the Poudre River Trail west of 71st Avenue. The trail will be closed east of 71st Avenue due to construction.
