Human Bean Northern Colorado to Host Give-back Day and Food Drive

The fundraiser will help provide hunger relief in local communities

One in five people in Weld County struggles with hunger, and almost 10 percent of the population in Larimer County may be facing food insecurity. To help local communities faced with the need for food assistance, Human Bean Northern Colorado is hosting a special give-back event. On Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, $1 from every drink purchased at any one of the 10 Human Bean Northern Colorado drive-thru locations will be donated to help those in need. Proceeds will be distributed between the Food Bank for Larimer County, Weld Food Bank, Windsor Severance Food Pantry and Wellington Colorado Food Bank.

Additionally, each of The Human Bean’s 10 drive-thru locations will be hosting a food drive from Aug. 16-31. Customers can drop off canned goods and nonperishable items that will also be distributed between the different food banks. The Human Bean will give customers $1 off their purchase when five or more items are donated.

“By working together, we hope we can help alleviate some of the food struggles happening in our communities,” says Krista Smith, assistant director of operations for Human Bean Northern Colorado. “We appreciate the work each of the local food banks do to deliver health and hope to those in need, and we want to do our part to help.”
