Community Answers NOCO Humane’s Call for Help

In late June, NOCO Humane put out a call for help. After more than 1,000 animals entered their shelters that month, NOCO Humane asked the community for two things: to help slow the rate at which animals were entering the shelter, and if they were able, to open their heart and home to a shelter pet. The response was overwhelming. In just two weeks’ time, more than 300 homeless animals were welcomed into new homes, and nearly 200 lost pets were reunited with their families. That’s 500 pets that have a place to call home outside the walls of NOCO Humane.

Following this phenomenal response, NOCO Humane’s current promotion waiving all fees for adoptable animals will wrap up soon and run through Monday, July 15.

“If you haven’t already, visit our Larimer or Weld campus to find your new best friend,” says Judy Calhoun, CEO of NOCO Humane. “Let’s see if we can find homes for another 500 pets by the end of July!”
