The Tointon Gallery of Fine Art will feature the work of Greeley photojournalist John Blake in an exhibition opening June 14, 2024, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., followed by an artist’s reception from 5-7 p.m.

“John Blake: European Street Photography” features a collection of black and white photographs representing the many candid images of people Blake has photographed in the streets of European cities over a span of 10 years. “Street photography” is a common name describing this style of photography.

Blake says he employed his skills as a photojournalist to try to tell a story in each of his photographs: “Just about all the cities I visited have a no-motor-vehicle, pedestrian-only area. Over time I learned that these areas contained the best subject matter for my photographs.”

The exhibition will run from June 14-July 19, 2024. The Tointon Gallery of Fine Art is located at 651 10th Ave. and open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is free.
