Greeley’s Culture, Parks and Recreation Master Plan Welcomes Community Input

Connecting Community and Shaping Spaces: Greeley’s Culture, Parks and Recreation Master Planning

The City of Greeley is thrilled to announce the commencement of an exciting journey to update Greeley’s Culture, Parks and Recreation master plan. This plan will serve as a road map for future development and enhancement of the city’s facilities, spaces, amenities and programs.

The City of Greeley is seeking input from its residents to build a plan based on their present and future needs. The city is considering:

  • Increasing the number of areas for picnic and playgrounds in parks.
  • Creating new natural spaces for peaceful walks and nature appreciation.
  • Investing in cultural and interactive learning spaces to boost the city’s cultural scene and support local creatives.
  • Organizing more events and festivals throughout the year to celebrate and foster community spirit and unity.

The city is collaborating with BerryDunn, a leading national professional consultant, to gather residents’ valuable input to ensure the project reflects the desires of the community. Residents are encouraged to participate in various events and activities throughout the city and can share their ideas and thoughts through the following channels:

  • Digital Idea Board. Contribute ideas and suggestions online for the future of the city’s open spaces, trails, parks, recreation, city-wide events, public art and museums.
  • Interactive Map. Use this platform to engage with other residents and express ideas and recommendations on topics related to culture, parks and recreation in Greeley.
  • Survey. The city will launch a statistically valid survey on June 1 on the speakupgreeley.com project page, where residents can offer thoughts on priorities for culture, parks and recreation.

The survey takes 15-20 minutes to complete. Residents who complete the survey are eligible for a chance to win a $500 prepaid Visa gift card. For more information, visit speakupgreeley.com/greeley-culture-parks-and-recreation-master-plan.
