Kids in the Park, a free, family-friendly community event, will be held at Twin Silo Community Park (5552 Ziegler Road) on Sunday, April 28, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will include a variety of recreation activities presented by city departments and local organizations as well as food trucks, music and community favorites, like a Touch-A-Truck area with city service vehicles and giant bubbles.
“We’re excited to invite families to Kids in the Park for a day of outdoor fun and community connection,” says LeAnn Williams, director of recreation. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate the joy of play, explore our wonderful park and create memories together.”
Twin Silo Community Park is a 54-acre park home to community gardens, a BMX course, pickleball courts, a dog park, ball diamonds, multi-purpose turf fields and a large playground, which event attendees are encouraged to explore.
Free parking for Kids in the Park attendees is available at nearby Fossil Ridge High School, and ADA parking will be accessible at the main entrance to the park off Ziegler Road. For more information, visit fcgov.com/kidsinthepark.
