The variant from the Greeley brewery’s esteemed Medianoche series will be available throughout Colorado, as well as 15+ out-of-state markets.
WeldWerks Brewing Co. proudly announces the release of Vanilla Medianoche, a popular variant from the brewery’s Medianoche barrel-aged stout lineup that is notorious for its 24-hour or more extended boils, in Colorado and more than 15 out-of-state markets.
On March 22, the barrel-aged stout will be available at WeldWerks’ taproom, as well as at participating retailers in Colorado. Out-of-state markets such as Arizona, California, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Tavour will receive the beer in early April. There will be no pre-sale for the release of Vanilla Medianoche.
“Back in March of 2016, WeldWerks released its first bottles of Vanilla Medianoche. That release was met with huge lines, limited bottle counts, and sold out within an hour of its release,” says WeldWerks’ head brewer Skip Schwartz. “From that day on, Vanilla Medianoche and Coconut Medianoche (also released that same day) became the benchmark for all following Medianoches.”
Vanilla Medianoche began with a blend of Medianoche batches aged 21-39 months in a myriad of different barrels; Blanton’s Bourbon, Sazerac Rye 18-year Rye, Buffalo Trace Rye, Henry McKenna 10-year Bottled in Bond Bourbon, Law’s Whiskey House Rye, Weller 12-year Bourbon, Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Buzzards Roost Bourbon. Following the blending process, this Imperial Stout was aged on Madagascar Vanilla beans for an additional month to develop deep, rich flavors and aromas. Delight in decadent notes of freshly baked vanilla sponge cake, dry oak and a hint of milk chocolate, followed by a sweet custard finish.
Vanilla Medianoche will be available on Friday, March 22, at WeldWerks. The beer will also be available at participating retail locations throughout the U.S. in April. Check WeldWerks’ Beer Finder to find participating retailers near you.
“We do not make Vanilla Medianoche every year, but we have made it plenty of times since 2016. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to share our latest Vanilla Medianoche with the widest reach yet,” Schwartz says.
