“Australian Storytime Adventures for Children” will be presented from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. The storytime, fun activities and snacks are free
for preschool and early elementary children, although all ages are welcome.
The Wonky Donkey tells the story of a three-legged, one-eyed donkey who likes to listen to country music. Butterfly and Oscar tells a tale of dogs, and a grandson recounts when My Grandma Live in Gooligulch. These and other stories will delight the listeners.
During the program, parents can tour the four galleries of the Museum at the regular admission rate of $5 per adult. The museum’s main gallery exhibit, “Australia and New Zealand: Miles Apart,” explores the rich cultures, histories and arts of the two countries. The exhibition, coordinated by guest curator Jean Lehman, runs through Nov. 18.
The Global Village Museum is located at 200 W. Mountain Ave., and museum hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Regular admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, $1 for ages 4-15 and free for children three and under. Adult tours receive discounted admission of $3 per person.
