Downtown Loveland Pumpkin Festival to Return Oct. 14

The event features all things pumpkin, with pumpkin decorating, pumpkin carving, a giant pumpkin, pumpkin food products and more!

The Loveland Downtown District is excited to announce the 4th Annual Downtown Pumpkin Festival will return to the Foundry Community Plaza. The festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 14 from 12-5 p.m. in the Foundry Plaza, 250 East Third St. The festival will feature locally grown pumpkins of all sizes, Loveland artists, pumpkin carving classes, various kid’s activities and more! Shop farmer’s market stands and vendor booths throughout The Foundry Plaza, enjoy time downtown in the crisp fall air and catch music provided by a local DJ Brian Howe of Howe Eventful throughout the day.

Four great ways to participate:

  1. Families and groups can participate in a group costume contest at 3 p.m. Wear your costume and sign up at the Downtown District Tent for free. There will be prizes for first through third place.
  2. Decorate a pumpkin with a local artist (decorator tickets are available online in advance for $12) and come with a tote bag to carry your pumpkin as well as coupons and giveaways from our sponsors. Meet up with one of our six artists to decorate your pumpkin. Our artists this year include Jules Gillen from Juiced on Imagination, Melissa Robinson, Kris Grauvogl of Greybird Designs, Kerri Sewolt, Jessye Lindsey and Amy Powell.
  3. Sign up for a pumpkin carving class. Carving classes are sponsored by Xfinity and led by local pumpkin carving master Jake Zimmer. Your class ticket will include a pumpkin, tote bag to carry it in, an apron and a tool kit for carving. Jake will lead you through your design giving tips and tricks to make your carving extra special. These classes are limited in size, so buy your ticket early. The local Odyssey of the Mind club will be assisting, and a donation will be made to the club from the proceeds.
  4. Guess the weight of the giant pumpkin to win a downtown gift card. We will have a giant pumpkin on site, and festival patrons are encouraged to guess the weight of the pumpkin. The closest one wins a $100 gift card to Downtown Loveland.

The general event is free to attend, though tickets are required to decorate pumpkins or take a carving class. You can purchase your tickets at downtownloveland.org/pumpkinfestival.
